Celebrity romances can seem exciting at the best of times, but in the middle of a pandemic it can be even more enticing. We are all stuck at home trying to imagine a better time in our life in the future, so reading about others is a good way to give the mind a little freedom, peace and quiet, and comfort. However, if you are trying to find out about celebrity romance, you might be interested to know that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas appear to be an item!
The couple was seen on vacation together in Cuba, visiting Havana in what looked like a very comfortable, relaxing experience. They’ve also made quite a few appearances together in public…but that might be something that comes to an end in the near future.
Why? Because it looks like a tough year for everyone has also had an impact on a growing celebrity power couple.
According to reports lingering around the duo, they have decided to call it quits at the beginning of 2021. Having first been seen together in March 2020, it looked like this would be a long-term bond especially after such regular appearances together. Now, that looks like it might be over before it can really get any further.
Is the fire out for Affleck and de Armas?
It certainly appears that the duo has decided to move on from what looked to be a very happy relationship. This has come up in a few different sources recently, with many celebrity-tattle platforms suggesting that, “according to sources”, it was all over. Apparently, the relationship was “complicated” – aren’t they always? – and it has been enough to bring an unhappy end to the relationship together.
According to reports, anyway, it was de Armas who decided to call the whole thing off. Part of the dispute, it is believed, comes from the living arrangement. Reports suggest that de Armas was unhappy being a permanent resident in Los Angeles, while Affleck – who has children in the city – had to stay in the City of Angels as opposed to moving on for his kids.
However, you might be happy to know that the spit was “amicable”, according to most who know the couple. That’s quite an intriguing little book-end, though, as it was apparently a mutual call-off – despite de Armas instigating the move – and something that both agreed was probably not going to work out.
While it’s always a shame when any relationship comes to and, it would be fair to say that it must be tough to keep up a new relationship when your every move is photographed and reported. Given the fair age gap between the duo, too – Affleck is 47, and de Armas is 31 – it might also simply be that they are looking for different things at this moment in time.
For now, though, all we know is that for all intents and purposes the relationship is over from a romantic point of view.
