When thinking of Hollywood power couples, the celebrity couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively is on top of the list. Their love story started off on the set of the movie Green Lantern in the summer of 2010, where they first met. However, at that time, the two just remained friends as they were already committed to other people.

Lively was in a relationship with the Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badgley, while Reynolds had shared vows with the Black Widow, Scarlett Johnson. Ever since they’ve gotten together, these two have been one of the favorite couples to exist and are considered “goals” by many people. Although they remain mostly private about their relationship, let’s look at how they started and what they’re up to now.

Till one year of knowing each other, Reynolds and Lively had only a platonic relationship, but things took a turn when they both got single. The funny part of them becoming lovers is that they went on a double date but weren’t each other’s dates. The Deadpool star said how it had gotten super awkward during the double date as instead of focusing on their respective dates; the two had strong chemistry going on instead.

The rumors of them dating started around October 2011 when Blake was seen leaving from Reynolds’s apartment in Boston on his birthday. And just after a few months, it was confirmed that the two superstars were now in a relationship. Since then, pictures of them together on dates looking completely in love have been captured a lot.

Their fans got a big surprise in September 2012 when the news of them tying the knot came out. The pair had their private wedding in South Carolina at the Boone Hall Plantation, with only close friends and family invited. However, their choice of place for the wedding sparked up a controversy as the plantation had a bad name due to its connection with enslaved black people. Later on, Ryan apologized in public about it and regretted the decision to celebrate their marriage there.

Not much is known about their wedding as they kept it hidden, but in some interviews, they’ve given some insights about how there was a paper lantern send-off, a pear-apricot wedding cake, and Florence Welch’s performance. In 2014, they made an appearance at the Met Gala as a couple, looking like they were a match made in heaven.

Later in the year of 2014, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. Blake delivered at the start of 2015, and they named their daughter James. They now have a total of three kids who they adore; the other two, Inez and Betty, were born in 2016 and 2019.

They have a fun relationship which they sometimes let us see a glimpse of on social media, where they troll each other over silly things. The two have been each other’s rock now for 10 years, and we hope that it remains the same between them because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love this goofy couple.
